Broward County, FL - Broward County Public Schools will resume normal operations on Friday after being closed on Thursday due to Hurricane Helene.
Schools and district offices will reopen, including before and after school services, after-school activities, local field trips, and evening events and classes.
Broward County was one of several South Florida school districts that closed their doors on Thursday in anticipation of Hurricane Helene making landfall along Florida's northwestern coast.
Monroe and Palm Beach counties also canceled classes and closed their facilities on Thursday.
While Miami-Dade County Public Schools remained open on Thursday, all of South Florida remained under a tropical storm warning.
