A state of emergency declared for 41 Florida counties along the west coast ahead of a storm system moving over the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico. National Weather Service meteorologist Sammy Hadi says the storm is expected to threaten areas like Naples and Marco Island along with the Big Bend region and Panhandle. He says South Florida should be bracing for gusty winds, heavy rainfall, coastal flooding and tropical tornadoes. That means it's time to check your hurricane kit and make sure you have enough supplies to get through three to four days.
