Miami, FL - A group of superheroes visited a South Florida children's hospital on Wednesday, bringing joy to patients during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
The group of superheroes brought smiles and laughter to the patients at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital in Hollywood.
Batman, Deadpool, and Spider-Man rappelled from the hospital's roof, surprising and delighting the young patients.
The visit was part of a decade-long tradition to celebrate Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
The hospital's staff and a local contractor collaborated to make the event possible.
The superhero characters engaged with the children, helping them design their own superhero capes.
Shannon Bajwa with Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, tells WSVN “all of our patients are superheroes. They all wear capes and fight battles, and they’re just amazing. So today, we wanted to celebrate that, and so, what a better way than having our window washers dress like superheroes dropping from the building’s rooftop? It’s amazing; the kids love it.”
