Miami, FL - Six Miami-Dade Olympians were honored with the Key to the County for their achievements in Paris.
Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava presented the Key to the County to the athletes, recognizing their hard work and dedication.
Among the honorees were Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo, who won gold in the U.S. Men's Basketball team, and track star Twanisha Terry, who secured a gold medal in the women's 4x100-meter relay.
Miami native Daniella Ramirez clinched a silver medal in the artistic swimming team event, marking the United States' first medal in the category in 20 years.
Sarah Newberry Moore, a Miami Yacht Club alumna who brought home a silver medal in artistic swimming, was also honored during the event.
Other Miami-Dade Olympians honored included water polo goalie Ashleigh Johnson and judoka Angelica Delgado.
The county celebrated these athletes' dedication, hard work, and achievements in representing the community on the world stage. The event featured inspiring speeches from the Olympians themselves.
Looking ahead, Adebayo, Terry, Ramirez, and Moore have their sights set on the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
