Governor Rejects "Improvement" Proposals at State Parks

Governor DeSantis says the plans for golf courses, pickleball courts and lodging at nine parks are going back to the drawing board. He says he never saw nor approved the proposals. which he says were intentionally leaked to an environmental organization.

"This was done intentionally, given to a very left-wing group to try to create a narrative that somehow the state parks are going to become a big parking lot or something like that. That's obviously a phony narrative," DeSantis said.

The governor says the proposal is being walked back to give the public a chance to respond. He insists no future projects will affect existing green space in state parks.
