St. Lucie County officials have released video showing what was found during the inspection of some condos in Jensen Beach.
Residents of three buildings at Villa del Sol along Hutchinson Island had to evacuate last week after they were deemed unsafe to live in.
The structural engineer hired by the HOA found giant cracks in the concrete under the buildings, support beams that crumble when tapped with a hammer and rebar that is disintegrating.
It also showed evidence of shoddy repairs in the past.
The inspection was mandated by law after the deadly Surfside collapse in Miami-Dade County.
