PBSO Identifies Skeletal Remains Found In Jupiter Nearly 40 Years Ago

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office has identified skeletal remains discovered in Jupiter back in January of 1988.

The remains of John Lee Peppard were found in a wooded area near Indiantown Road and I-95 and while it's still unclear how he died, foul play is suspected.

Peppard was a Vietnam War veteran who was from Alaska and living in what's described as a transient lifestyle in the Keys, as well as Texas, California, Idaho and Alaska. He worked in the flooring repair and installation business.

Detectives now want to find his killer and are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-458-TIPS.
