A dog is now up for adoption in Indian River County after recovering from being stabbed and poisoned by his former owner.
The Sheriff's Office discovered the dog named "Saucy" fighting for his life while conducting a narcotics investigation.
Marquise Walker was arrested on counts of cruelty to animals in addition to the narcotics-related charges.
The Humane Society is now putting "Saucy" up for adoption.
