Volunteer Group Helps Solve Two Missing Person Cold Cases

Two cold cases recently solved in South Florida, thanks to a group of volunteers who dive in local lakes, rivers and ponds to find missing people. Mike Sullivan, founder of Sunshine State Sonar, says their goal is to bring families' closure. Plantation police say these volunteers found the remains of a 35-year-old woman and her 3-year-old daughter missing since 1974 in a car submerged in a canal near Southwest First Street. They also found the body of a World War Two veteran who had been missing since 2004 in an apartment complex pond just a mile away from this scene.
