Affordable Housing Announcement In Miami-Dade

Representatives from the U-S Department of Housing and Urban Development joining Miami-Dade's mayor to announce new federal funding to help build affordable homes. Daniella Levine Cava says the money will also go toward revitalizing Overtown and redeveloping Culmer public housing to spur economic growth. The average home in Miami-Dade has an assessed value of about 200-thousand-dollars.Levine Cava promises tax rates will stay the same for property owners in the twelve-point-seven-billion-dollar-budget proposal she unveiled Monday. Final votes are set for September.
