Orphaned Black Bears To Be Returned To Wild

The Brevard Zoo helping orphaned black bears make it back to the wild.

Hazel, Pickles, and Ichabod are from two families. Ichabod's mom was hit by a car. He was found alone on a busy highway, calling for her.

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission brought them to the zoo in June, they were five months old.

The zoo vets did not bottle-feed or cuddle the cubs, so they would not get used to humans.

The three bear cubs spent about a month and a half at the Animal Care Center at the Brevard Zoo. Their next stop for rehab will be at an FWC facility in Florida.
