The Miami-Dade Elections Department starts mailing out vote-by-mail ballots today to voters with a request on file for the August 20th Primary. Supervisor of Elections Christina White says if you had a request on file before 2023 it must be renewed. She says lots of people may not be aware of this. For the Primary in 2020 they had 332-thousand requests, this year they have 215 thousand which is a 35-percent decrease. The deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot for the Primary is August 8th. Broward's vote-by-mail ballots go out next week.
