The Texas Gulf Coast Readies For The Arrival Of Beryl

(Miami, FL) -- Tropical Storm Beryl remains on the march and is still expected to regain hurricane status before it reaches the South Texas coast on Monday morning.

It's currently packing winds of 60 miles an hour. Forecasters warn that heavy rains, flash flooding, and life-threatening storm surges are likely from Corpus Christi to Galveston Bay. WATCHES AND WARNINGS

A Hurricane Warning has been extended along the Texas coast north of

Sargent to San Luis Pass.

A Hurricane Watch has been extended along the Texas coast north of

San Luis Pass to Galveston Island.

A Tropical Storm Watch has been issued east of High Island to

Sabine Pass.
