One person is dead after being hit by a Brightline train in Lake Worth Beach.

It happened just after Noon yesterday, near the 1600 block of South Dixie Highway. No other details have been released and the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is investigating.

It happened just a day after a Brightline train struck a car in Delray Beach. The driver was behind the wheel with the front tires on the tracks near George Bush Boulevard and Northeast Fifth Avenue.

Although the car was spun around and the front end of the vehicle was destroyed, he was not injured.

Officials say the man is from the Caribbean and isn't used to be around train tracks.
