Miramar Police Crack 1986 Cold Case Murder Of Local Firefighter

Miramar Police crack the cold case murder of a 28-year-old firefighter nearly forty years ago. Detective Danny Smith says DNA evidence links Harry Van Collier, who was shot in the head a week after Billy Halpern's murder, to the crime. Halpern bled to death after being found bound in his Miramar townhouse with black electrical tape. They don't think Halpern was involved in any illegal activity, but they believe he was killed because he knew something about the criminal activity taking place in the Apollo gym connected to illegal drugs and guns.
