Mom Of Transgender Monarch High School Athlete To Learn Her Fate Today

The fate of a Monarch High School staffer suspended because her transgender daughter played on the girls' volleyball team to be decided by the Broward School Board today. Jessica Norton was one of five Monarch officials removed from the Coconut Creek school for violating a 2021 state law banning trans girls from playing girls sports in Florida, but she's the only one facing potential discipline. She's suing the state and school district. The principal, assistant principal and athletic director have all been cleared and reinstated after an internal investigation.
