A Lake Worth Beach man has been sentenced to 35 years in prison for attacking a Lyft driver with a knife.

It happened in September of 2021, after Tevin Kimbugwe's car collided with Michael Radler's motorcycle in Boynton Beach.

"I still vividly remember that day. It continues to haunt me, every day of the my life."

In the courtroom yesterday, the victim said that after Radler stabbed him multiple times in his face, chest, back and arms, Radler took off on his motorcycle and left him for dead.

Radler apologized to Kimbugwe and his attorney asked for a sentence of eight years.

"I feel absolutely ridiculous for having reacted so irrational."

Prosecutors asked for a 50 year sentence, while defense attorneys requested a term just over 8 years. The judge could've given Radler a life sentence.

The defense plans to appeal.
