Palm Beach Gardens Police have taken one man into custody in connection with a mall shooting last week.

Chief Clinton Shannon on Tuesday said 28-year old Kemarcio Antonio Mitchell was injured in the shooting at the Gardens Mall on Valentine's Day, and he was seen discarding a pistol before leaving the property.

"Mitchell has an extensive criminal history dating back to 2009 with 35 felony charges, ten felony convictions and two incarcerations."

He says that even without that man's cooperation, police identified 35-year old Devon Jamal Graham as the shooter. A warrant is out for his arrest. Graham also has an extensive criminal history and both men are affiliated with gangs, according to the police chief.

Soon after last Wednesday's shooting, police had said it was not a random incident and there was no active shooter. But they had not released much more information than that until now.
