PENSACOLA -- FHP troopers pulled over a driver with Texas tags and say they found weapons, including handguns and ammunition, as well as plenty of antisemitic swag, including what appear to be swastika armbands and swastika chains.
They say 42-year-old Ronald Murray of Cypress, Texas, is a convicted felon with several convictions, out on bond from Orange County. He has no valid Florida driver's license. FHP says he was following a dump truck too closely in his white Chevy Avalanche.
Murray is jailed without bond. He's charged with driving while license suspended or revoked, and possession of weapons and ammunition by a convicted felon. His passengers were released.
Murray's misdemeanor charge in Orange County names him as one of three people suspected of projecting antisemitic images on a building without consent. He and his co-defendants are charged under a new Florida law passed last year to combat hate speech.
