A funeral will be held on Monday for a Florida Highway Patrol trooper killed in the line of duty last Friday.
26-year old Patrolman Zachary Fink will be laid to rest at Christ Fellowship Church in Port St. Lucie, the same city where he died while pursuing a fleeing felon, who was driving recklessly and speeding along I-95 when his patrol car was struck by a semi.
We have also learned the name of that truck driver, 55-year old Arsenio Mas from Homestead, who also lost his life.
The suspect, 30-year old Michael Addison is being held without bond.
The Florida Highway Patrol says full line-of-duty death honors will be given to Trooper Fink.
His funeral will not be open to members of the public, but it will be live-streamed. It begins at 11 a.m. Monday February 12.
Fink left behind his parents and his fiance'.
Meanwhile, South Florida non-profit Bleeding Blue is selling "challenge coins" in Fink's honor and donating all proceeds to his family. The organization was founded by a Miami-Dade Police detective and helps raise funds for injured officers and the families of fallen officers.
