Two Miami officials trading insults and almost throwing fists.
At last night's Miami City Commission meeting, things got heated between Joe Carollo and Miguel Angel Gabela. Gabela called Carollo a liar, and Carollo responded by calling Gabela a small little man. At that point, Gabela got out of his chair and walked toward Carollo before someone held him back.
Afterward, Carollo called Gabela a thug, and Gabela called Carollo a bully. As for city business, the commission voted to extend City Attorney Victoria Mendez' contract five months, and they also agreed to form a committee to find her replacement. She and her husband are accused of real estate fraud.
