Man Arrested for Threatening to Harm Realty TV Star at South Florida Casino

Miami, FL - A 40-year-old Minnesota man was arrested in Broward County over the weekend, nearly two years after he allegedly threatened violence at a South Florida nightclub.

Authorities say the threat was issued towards a dayclub/nightclub located at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, where a former acquaintance of the suspect was employed.

The specific club's name was not disclosed in the complaint affidavit.

The victim, a cocktail waitress at the aforementioned establishment, reported to detectives from the Seminole Police Department's Homeland Security Unit on March 3, 2022, detailing her past association with the suspect, identified as Adam Hanson.

The victim recounted that Hanson initiated contact via Twitter in August 2019, following her appearance on MTV's "Are You The One?"

Subsequently, the two engaged in a long-distance relationship marked by financial support from Hanson.

However, the relationship soured around September/October 2021, following the victim's reunion with a former boyfriend.

Hanson's behavior escalated to threats against the Seminole Hard Rock establishment during a subsequent phone conversation with the victim.

Further exacerbating the situation, Hanson's actions included cyberstalking, issuing threats, and attempting to disclose sensitive information about the victim to coerce compliance with his demands.

Despite the victim's efforts to sever communication by blocking Hanson's contacts, he persisted by creating new social media accounts and utilizing alternative phone numbers.

Additionally, Hanson engaged a former boyfriend of the victim to manage any legal matters arising from the investigation.

Hanson faces a charge of aggravated stalking with a credible threat. As of Tuesday, his presence in the jail database was no longer evident.
