The family of a man who was electrocuted in a Palm Beach County fountain are gearing up for a lawsuit against the shopping complex where it happened.
Nate Davenport died while rescuing his children from a fountain at Harbourside Place in Jupiter back in October. His family has filed a new legal complaint to assure the town doesn't order the fountain to be repaired until they've discovered what went wrong.
"All the information that you learned from the pure bill of discovery will have uncovered the truth behind what the defendants truly knew and what they failed to do over the course of time that these facts were known but not acted upon."
Personal injury attorney Andrew Yaffa tells CBS 12 News that this is likely the final step before a wrongful death suit is filed.
He is not connected to the case, but the Davenports' attorney says their inspection will be completed soon and a lawsuit will be filed shortly after that.
