Around a thousand protestors lined the streets of downtown West Palm Beach near the Square for a pro-Palestinian demonstration.
Video shows people dressed in red black and green, waving the national flag chanting "Free Palestine," and demanding that officials call for a ceasefire.
One supporter told CBS 12 News that Israel is committing war crimes and taking part in the genocide of Palestinians. Some world leaders have linked the October 7th attack by Hamas on Israel to 9/11, but that protestor claimed Hamas is not a terrorist organization. However, it has been listed as a terror group since the 1990s by the U.S. State Department.
A small crowd of Israeli supporters were also in attendance at yesterday's demonstration, stating that a ceasefire would come once Hamas released the over 200 hostages its holding in Gaza.
During that protest, a man wearing shorts and holding a guitar ran from the cops through heavy traffic with a large knife underneath his shirt.
Police chased him and ultimately caught and arrested 43-year old Hawazin Gridley Wright of West Palm Beach. He's charged with unlawful carrying of a concealed weapon, obstructing traffic and resisting arrest.
