Broward Man Faces Hate Crime Charges In USPS Worker Attack

A Wilton Manors man is facing hate crime charges in the attack earlier this year of a USPS worker in Broward County.

Kenneth Jerome Pinkney,47, is facing battery/second or subsequent offense and committing a second-degree felony with prejudice. Pinkney, who has a prior felony battery arrest from 1996, allegedly ripped off a postal worker’s hijab and punched her in the face in Fort Lauderdale, while she was delivering mail to a home, after yelling racial slurs at her.

The attack first reported on Oct 24th, left the victim with a bloodied mouth and scratches on her face.
