(Tallahassee, Fla) - Florida Governor and presidential candidate Ron DeSantis says he will fulfill the promise that Donald Trump made in 2016 to build a border wall and make Mexico pay for it.
DeSantis said despite running on the promise to have Mexico pay for a wall, Trump backtracked and said there was no viable way to make it happen. DeSantis disagrees and vows to make it happen if elected in 2024.
DeSantis says billions of dollars can be generated by imposing a fee on remittances sent back to families in Mexico and other countries from migrants working in the US.
