A man known for donating repaired and refurbished bicycles to children in Palm Beach County has died.
Samuel "Jack" Hairston III was best known as "Jack the Bike Man." According to a post on his Facebook page, he passed away Friday from a heart attack at the age of 81.
Hairston was the Founder and President of the non-profit Jack the Bike Man, Inc. Since 2007, he donated 32,000 bikes.
Jack's shop also performs repairs on bicycles and sells refurbished ones, donating the profits to the mission.
Those with the West Palm Beach non-profit say they are working hard to keep it going with help from the community.
