There is new information from the ongoing investigation of last year's deadly interstate 95 crane collapse in Fort Lauderdale. As a result of the collapse, a piling struck a man-lift holding two workers. That man-lift came crashing down, killing Joseph Bienaime and injuring another construction worker. U.S. Department of Labor investigators have deemed the De Moya group conducting that project, could have prevented the tragedy had they followed federal safety workplace standards. OSHA issued several citations including for failing to make sure the ground was firm...with over fifty-eight thousand dollars in penalties.
Bienaime's family retained the law firms Stewart Tilghman Fox Bianchi & Cain, P.A. and Brumer & Brumer P.A. to investigate the cause of the collapse and to hold accountable those at fault.
