A mile-long rainbow flag lit up the sky above Key West’s Duval Street this weekend in honor of Pride 2023.
The laser-light flag commemorated the original Pride flag sewn in Key West two decades ago by artist Gilbert Baker, who designed the original LGBTQ rainbow flag in 1978.
A carefully preserved 100-foot-long section of Baker’s mile-long flag led Sunday’s Pride Parade through downtown Key West.
The festival wrapped up Sunday with visitors strolling under the light rainbow to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Key West’s "sea-to-sea" flag.
