Mike Pence is announcing his bid for the 2024 presidential race. The former Vice President released a new campaign video this morning, on his 64th birthday, attacking the Biden administration and what he calls "the radical left." In the video, Pence says the country is in trouble and "different times call for different leadership." The video makes no mention of former President Trump or the 2021 Capitol riot. Pence filed his candidacy paperwork with the FEC on Monday. He's expected to kick off his campaign this afternoon in Iowa.
