People who get their power from the City of Lake Worth Beach Utilities will soon pay less.

The City Commission has voted to approve the reduction of the Power Cost Adjustment charge on bills for all residential and commercial electric customers.

It will be effective June 1st and adds to the reductions that went into effect on May 1st.

A typical residential customer will see their bills go down by just over $7 a month, effective May 1, followed by another savings of $22 per month effective in June.

The reduction follows the lowered cost of natural gas.

The Commission also voted to fund a $500,000 Rate Stabilization Fund, which will be used to help offset future cost hikes.
