A bridge tender convicted of manslaughter in the death of a woman who fell from a West Palm Beach drawbridge is back behind bars.

Artissua Paulk was sentenced to eight years probation in January after pleading guilty in the case stemming from the death of 79-year old Carol Wright.

Last year, Paulk raised the Royal Park Bridge without properly checking to ensure nobody was on the span that runs between West Palm Beach and Palm Beach.

Wright, who was walking her bicycle across the bridge at the time, fell 50 feet onto the concrete below. Paulk has been hauled back to jail after a urine sample showed she had THC in her system.

The Florida Department of Corrections confirms that she also failed to pay court costs and fines in connection to her guilty plea.

Last summer, Wright's family reached a settlement with Florida Drawbridges Inc. for more than $8.2 million.

Another woman fell from the same bridge earlier this month, but survived and police say it doesn't appear that a crime was committed.
