South Florida - Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine has been hospitalized after he was filmed being beaten in a South Florida LA Fitness steam room.
The artist, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, suffered facial injuries and had to be hospitalized.
Hernandez's attorney, Lance Lazzaro, confirmed the assault but declined to reveal its location or provide further details.
In the video, two men are seen kicking Hernandez and pulling his hair as he lay on the bathroom floor of the gym.
Hernandez, famous for his rainbow-colored hair, was a social media sensation before transitioning to hip-hop, with a string of chart-topping songs including "Fefe" with Nicki Minaj and "Stoopid" with Bobby Shmurda.
Lazzaro claimed Hernandez was unarmed and overpowered during the attack and said that he attempted to defend himself.
