Authorities say a woman caused an accident along the Panhandle by deliberately driving into oncoming traffic and then blamed it on the other drivers.

According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office, 20-year old Anessia Jines was speeding in her Nissan Sentra along Highway 98 on Saturday afternoon.

Deputies say she was purposely swerving into oncoming traffic and struck a Toyota driven by a 71-year old who suffered non-life threatening injuries.

An off-duty deputy grabbed the woman as she attempted to walk away and when she asked him why he was touching her, the deputy told her she could have killed someone. To that, she replied that it was "their bad," referring to the other drivers.

Jines is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and resisting an officer.
