Man stabs victim with screwdriver over fight about air conditioning

Broward County, FL - A 26-year-old Florida man's been arrested after beating a man with a gun, screwdriver, and knife before holding him captive over an argument about air conditioning.

Callen River Glover has been held in the Broward County Jail without bond since the September 8th attack on a man inside a Wilton Manors apartment.

Authorities say Glover got into an argument with a 20-year-old victim over the temperature in the apartment.

Police say the argument escalated and an enraged Glover ripped the thermostat off of the wall, smashed it, then pulled a handgun from a lunchbox, punched the victim, and repeatedly stabbed the man in the arms, legs and torso with a screwdriver.

According to investigators, as the situation seemed to be coming to an end, Glover grabbed the gun, pointed it at the man and said “I’ll put a cap in you."

Glover then blocked the doorway and prevented the victim from leaving the apartment by taking his car keys and holding a knife to the man’s neck.

Glover continued to beat the man with his fists and screwdriver before the victim escaped to the Wilton Manors Police Department.

Glover has been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
