LAUDERHILL, FL - A 10-year-old boy sent his 8-year-old brother to the hospital after throwing a knife at him inside a South Florida home on Friday.
The 8-year-old was hospitalized after his brother threw the knife at him at a home on the 1100 block of North State Road 7 in Lauderhill early Friday morning.
Officials say the brothers were involved in an altercation that culminated with the older brother throwing the knife at the younger brother.
The 8-year-old suffered minor injuries and was taken to Broward Health Medical Center.
Authorities say the boys' mother was home and called police. She is cooperating with investigators.
The Department of Children and Families was also notified.
