Broward Set To Loosen Reins On New Normal Restrictions

The new normal restrictions may soon start fading away in Broward. By a unanimous vote, Commissioners agree start removing distance and capacity limits once 50-percent of residents are vaccinated and there's either a 5-percent positive rolling case average for 7 consecutive days or 15 new cases per day per 100-thousand people. Mayor Steve Geller says they will start removing limits on restaurants, hotels, movie theaters, community rooms, museums and private residences. He's urging everyone to roll up their sleeves and get the vaccine as soon as possible.
