More Than 18,000 Florida Vote-By-Mail Ballots Not Counted In March

A new study shows that during Florida's presidential primary election in March, more than 18,500 mail-in ballots were not counted toward the overall results of the election.

According to the analysis by HealthyElections.org, that accounted for 1.3 percent of all mail-in ballots.

There were two major reasons why the votes were not counted: ballots that arrived after 7 p.m. on Election Day and ballots returned on time but that had a defect.

Pres. Trump has blasted universal vote-by-mail, claiming the system is ripe for fraud, but he tweeted this week that he encourages Floridians vote-by-mail.

He says the difference is that voters in our state must request a ballot, while some states are sending ballots out to all voters.
