NASCAR Returns To Homestead This Weekend

Hearts are already pumping, and come tomorrow, the engines will be revving at the Homestead-Miami Speedway.

It won't be the 50,000 person sell-out crowd race fans have become accustomed to, but on Sunday the Homestead-Miami Speedway will become the first track in the country to welcome back a limited number of guests.

Up to 1,000 Homestead Air Reserve Base and U.S. Southern Command service members.

Track President Al Garcia says they're hosting races starting with tomorrow's Hooters 250 and wrapping up with the Dixie Vodka 400 Sunday afternoon.

The Dixie Vodka 400 is the last of four races this weekend, and the only one that will have socially distanced fans.

President Al Garcia believes a lot of sports industry execs will be watching.

He also expects to attract a lot of new fans, ratings are up, with 30% of them first time NASCAR viewers.

You'll be able to hear Sunday's race on 940 WINZ, Miami Sports.

Coverage begins at 2:30p.
