Miami Hosts 43rd Annual MLK Day Parade & Family Festival

South Florida celebrating Martin Luther King Day with local parades, the biggest in Miami with the 43rd annual MLK Parade and Family Festival. It's the nation's oldest and largest, covering the historic 8-mile route Dr. King traveled during his visits to Miami. Mayor Francis Suarez says more than 100 people are participating from high school marching bands and drill teams to church and community groups. The parade begins at 11 this morning on the corner of Northwest 54th Street and 10th Avenue and ends at MLK Memorial Park in the 6-thousand block of Northwest 32nd Court. The family festival immediately follows from noon to 5 p.m. with cultural programs and performances.
