The Parkland Public Safety Commission wraps up its meetings in Orlando today with comments from the public. Commissioners are focused on finalizing recommendations to be shared with state lawmakers next year. They include tweaking the reunifcation policy to ensure schools and local law enforcement have a coordinated plan to notify relatives of the victims. Max Schachter says the way Broward Sheriff Scott Israel handled this task was grossly inappropriate. He and other Parkland parents want state senators to reject the special master's recommendation to reinstate Israel when they take a final vote next Wednesday.
