Teen Who Posted Snapchat Threat Against Lake Worth High Says It Was A Prank

School Threat - West Palm Beach

A Lake Worth High School graduate says he posted a picture of his alma mater on Snapchat with the caption "hope your book bags are bulletproof" as a way to prank his friends.

19-year old Antonio Ruiz faces criminal charges of making a written threat to do harm.

A judge on Tuesday set bail at $5,000 and ordered Ruiz to avoid any Palm Beach County schools if he does post bond.

The sheriff's office says someone reported the threat on Monday through the StudentProtect app.

Authorities say the teen was caught on surveillance video taking a picture that morning.
