The Fauch, The Ten Commandments & Constitutional Amendments – Top 3 Takeaways – July 30th, 2026
Takeaway #1: Back to basics
An interesting and highly instructive exercise for Christians and Jews is to ask oneself this seemingly basic but highly instructive question. What are the Ten Commandments? Not as in God’s Law that was presented to Moses, I've not found that observant Christians and Jews are unfamiliar with that dynamic, but rather – what are each of the Ten Commandments? Do you know? If you’re generally observant but don’t...you’re not alone. In fact, that would make you normal. A 2019 study by the Pew Research Center found that on average, observant Christians and Jews answered about 60% of related questions accurately...or as applied to the Ten Commandments...the average person could name six. In case you were just testing yourself or in case you want to quickly test yourself here are the ten: 1) I am the Lord your God; you shall have no other gods before me. 2) You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain. 3) Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 4) Honor your father and your mother. 5) You shall not kill. 6) You shall not commit adultery 7) You shall not steal. 8) You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. 9) You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife. 10) You shall not covet your neighbor’s goods. If you knew all ten you knew something that fewer than one in ten Christians and Jews do. The point in mentioning this is that a human tendency is to take the basics for granted and/or to operate on assumptions. As in this example...for those who consider themselves to be observant Christians and Jews...the thought that – of course I know the Ten Commandments...until that moment when you realize that even if you once did...you currently don’t. With that said, there are three specific commandments that are effectively universally known – the ones that did stick – however they’re not in order. Research shows that the 5th Commandment – You shall not kill, the 7th Commandment – You shall not steal, and the 4th Commandment – Honor your father and mother are the most well-known. This exercise might serve as a good reminder about taking a little time to get back to the basics in matters of faith. About now you’re likely wondering why that’s my top takeaway and what any of it may have to do with the Ten Commandments. The Ten Commandments exercise came to mind yesterday when observing the Fauch to perpetuate the most abusive use of the 5th Amendment I’ve ever seen.
Takeaway #2: What color is the carpet?
I can say the 5th Amendment, and you’ll also certainly know what I mean. Similar to the Ten Commandments, almost all Americans are familiar with three and very few Americans can name more than six. Almost all Americans know that the 1st Amendment addresses freedom of speech, the 2nd Amendment pertains to the right to own and bear arms and that the 5th Amendment allows for the ability to avoid self-incrimination, or as is commonly said and understood...taking the the 5th. Now, there’s much more to each of those amendments than just those basic understandings...let alone the other 24, which can also serve as a reminder that it may be worth brushing up to bit on civics too...but in any event to the extent to which the 5th Amendment right against self-incrimination can potentially be abused – it was in spades by the Fauch yesterday. During the Senate Hearing of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee investigating COVID origins, former National Institutes of Health Director Anthony Fauci was dead set on trying to avoid saying anything that could incriminate him. The Fauch, who’s diary contains entries related to his work from 2019-2022, was obtained by the committee through a subpoena and was released this week showing that he’s a stone-cold liar. Specifically entries revealed that a) He knew at the onset of the pandemic that the virus was perpetuated through the Wuhan lab and also b) That he seemingly became enamored with his popularity and fame during the rise of the pandemic. Aside from the conformation of those things...which were already readily known and understood by those who’ve long investigated the truth into COVID origins and the Fauch’s role, which included funding provided by the National Institutes of Health to the very Wuhan lab responsible for perpetuating the virus...it was known that Fauci would likely play it safe in the committee hearing. That was due to two reasons. 1) President Biden (and/or Team Autopen) pardoned Anthony Fauci for everything and anything pertaining to COVID-19...meaning that 2) While Fauci is legally protected for his role in the in the pandemic – he wouldn’t be legally protected if he were to lie to congress. That meant there would likely be a lot of the 5th. But what we didn’t know is that all he would do is take the 5th –
Takeaway #3: Which he did 111 times!
His refusal to answer even the most basic questions resulted in senators illustrating the extent of the absurdity by asking him questions like... What day of the week is it today? What color tie are you wearing? What color is the carpet in front of you? Those were all questions posed by Senator Josh Hawley. The Fauch’s answer to all of those was his standard... On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution. Which turned out to be legal advice from a counselor who was removed from the hearing room due to his many disruptions of the hearing and refusal to be quiet. At the conclusion of the hearing Rand Paul had this to say... Because you refuse to answer, citing a privilege that is unsupported, because of your pardon, and after being denied to do so, this committee has scheduled a vote next week on a resolution certifying your contempt. And that could prove interesting, in fact it could be an issue that may eventually lead to a decision by the Supreme Court because at issue is this... A presidential pardon may absolve one of potential liability for federal crimes...however there’s nothing that suggests that a pardon allows for obstruction of justice. And that’s what Paul is alleging. That Fauci has a responsibility to aid in the Senate’s investigation and his refusal to cooperate citing the 5th Amendment arises to the level of obstruction of justice. To date, the courts have been clear on the 5th Amendment. Simply pleading the 5th isn’t of itself obstruction of justice...however pleading the 5th in conjunction with the withholding or destroying of evidence can be considered obstruction of justice. That means that based upon how next week’s vote goes...there yet might be potential legal jeopardy for one COVID coverup conspirator...named Anthony Fauci. I wonder if Julia Roberts would visit him in jail?
