Forecasters Monitoring Tropical System In the Middle Of The Atlantic

Just days after the one-two punch of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, forecasters are monitoring another disturbance in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

It currently has a 50% chance of developing over the next week.

National Weather Service Miami Meteorologist In Charge Robert Molleda says it's too early to know if it will continue a westerly path after seven days or go north.

"The bottom line for South Florida is we're not expecting any threat from this at least, at least for the next seven days. It is something we're going to be watching very closely."

What is a sure thing is a cold front coming through mid-week, which will give South Florida slightly cooler and breezy weather.
