It's no secret that the United States is home to some of the richest people in the world. Those super-wealthy individuals and their lavish neighborhoods may be living closer to you than you think.
RealtyHop, a real estate website, got curious and pinpointed the most expensive ZIP codes in the nation. For their 2022 list, researchers "pulled every real estate listing advertised in the United States so far this year, 3.64 million of them, and sorted these properties by zip code. We then ranked these zips by median price, resulting in a list of the most expensive markets in the nation right now," according to the website.
A Florida ZIP code broke into the Top 5, and that's Fisher Island (33109)! This exclusive community is only five miles away from Miami. The median home listing in this area is $6.1 million. Wow!
Out of the 100 ZIP codes listed in the study, Florida only had two while California had a whopping 59 zip codes!
Here are the Top 10 most expensive ZIP codes in America plus their median listing price:

- Sagaponack, NY(11962): $6,972,500
- Los Angeles, CA (90210): $6,699,500
- Boston, MA (02199): $6.2 million
- Fisher Island, FL (33109): $6.1 million
- Water Mill, NY (11976): $5.5 million
- Montecito, CA (93108): $4,995,000
- Ross, CA (94957): $4,699,500
- Newport Beach, CA (92662): $4,674,750
