Manny Diaz Let Go As UM's Head Footbal Coach

The University of Miami is about to get a new head football coach.

Manny Diaz was let go this morning.

The Miami Herald is reporting that Miami native Mario Cristobal has agreed to a deal that will pay him about $8-million a year to take over the football program.

He's expected to sign on the line today.

Diaz's three year head coaching tenure with the Canes ends with a 21-15 record.

Cristobal played for the Hurricanes, was an assistant coach and was FIU's head football coach between 2007 and 2012. He most recently served as the Oregon Ducks' head coach.
