The 65th annual Hollywood Beach Candy Cane parade is back after a year hiatus because of COVID. The parade route remains the same -beginning along Michigan Street and heading South on the Broadwalk. But what's different this year-a noticeable police presence to ensure there are no cars crashing the festivities like the deadly crash in Waukesha, Wisconsin. City Spokeswoman Joann Hussey says participants must hand candy out to parade goers instead of throwing it. Parade goers are encouraged to park in downtown Hollywood and take a free shuttle to the beach.
