Come January there will be some new faces joining the Broward County Commission. Governor Ron DeSantis appointing Torey Alston and Jared Moskowitz to the seats left open by Barbara Sharief and Dale Holness. Alston is the chief of staff for the Florida Department of Transportation, Moskowitz oversaw Florida's COVID response as the state's former emergency management director. Sharief and Holness submitted written resignations to run for Congress-both lost their bids but their resignations are irrevocable.
