Safety Top Of Mind Ahead Of Tortuga Music Festival In Ft. Lauderdale

Expect a beefed up police presence on Ft. Lauderdale Beach for the 3-day Tortuga Music Festival starting Friday. Assistant Police Chief Dana Swisher says they're relying on concert goers to help them ensure there are no crowd surging cases like the one at Astroworld in Houston leaving eight dead and hundreds injured. He says they have studied tape from the event in a preemptive strike against any tragedies. Tortuga is back after a one year hiatus because of COVID. Luke Bryan, Pitbull, Miranda Lambert and Tim McGraw are headlining the show.
