District 20 Race Headed For A Recount

A recount is coming in the race to see who will replace the late Congressman Alcee Hastings.

With 100-percent of precincts reporting, the District 20 race looks like it will be decided by a very slim margin.

Broward County Commissioner Dale Holness leads Businesswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick by less than half-a-percent in the Democratic primary, which triggers an automatic machine recount.

The pair separating themselves from a pack of 11 Democratic candidates.

The eventual winner will advance to the general election to face Republican Jason Mariner, who won his primary yesterday.

The winner of January's general election will replace Hastings, who passed away in April.
